David Heritage's unique experience in boat building, boat restoration and race preparation is unrivaled in the UK. A time served wooden craftsman, David Heritage specialises in both restoration and race preparation for some of Britain's most successful owners.
Conveniently located in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, David Heritage offers an extensive range of services from refit and repair work to a full race optimisation. In addition, the David Heritage team is able to work on location when yachts cannot be brought to their workshop, and can also collect and return boats if required.
Owned and run by David Heritage, a leading International sailor in his own right, David has an innate understanding of what makes a race boat tick and the standards of quality that top sailors expect. David did his boatbuilding apprenticeship at the world renowned Elephant Boatyard in Burseldon and went on to specialise in the race boat market by starting his own business in 2000.
Providing a very personal and individual service to each and every customer, David Heritage is proud of his links with top GB and Olympic dinghy and keelboat sailors such as Iain Percy, Ben Ainslie, Ian Southworth, Graham Bailey, Shirley Robertson, Sarah Ayton, and Andy Beadsworth.
In addition, David Heritage is the International Etchells Class European builder and also produces the new GRP Portsmouth Victory Class. His recent work includes boat restoration on Quarter Tonners, XOD Boats, wooden Dragons and other classic yachts.
